Established in 1998, Mundy Veneer are purveyors of fine wood veneers and interior architectural surface materials. We have a passion for wood, coupled with a love of colour and exemplary design. We stock hundreds of types of species and are regarded as the leading supplier with the most in-depth knowledge of the veneer we sell.
About the Role
At Mundy Veneer relationships with suppliers are of paramount importance and this is reflected in the outstanding quality of the product we sell. This role is to manage and develop the long-lasting collaboration with our key supplier. This company has been the world leader in dying wood veneers for the past 120 years with a wealth of experience and innovation in the industry. Mundy Veneer have been their sole UK and Ireland distributor for the past 24 years.
The Product Liaison role will involve working closely with both the supplier and the internal sales team at Mundy Veneer to ensure that relevant information from our supplier is clearly visible and understood, whilst ensuring company KPIs are met.
Main responsibilities
- Ensure all products are fully implemented into Mundy Veneer’s stock.
- Ensure all product training is up to date.
- Continue the strong working relationship with the supplier and build on this solid base.
- Ensure material purchased is the correct standard.
- Implement new products.
- Organise and manage sampling material.
- Organisation and management of technical information.
- Liaise and have the ability to discuss technical issues and develop a working solution.
- Provide weekly updates to the team.
Key skills – Essential
- A willingness to learn the product and business inside and out.
- Possess high communication skills to confidently provide a bridge between the supplier and the team at Mundy Veneer.
- Good organisational capacity.
- A keen eye for detail.
- Ability to present and train members on products.
- Proactive thinker and ability to evaluate the business impact of purchasing decisions.
- A working knowledge of CRM systems, Microsoft 365 and IT in general. Training will be provided.
- A can do and positive attitude with the ability to work across every area of the business if needed.
Key skills – Nice to have
- Skill with social media for support in company posts, ideas for content and knowledge of current trends.
- Marketing of product in general, promotion ideas of all product and ideas of how to reach a wider audience in the UK.

Location: 5 days a week based in Wellington, with some travel when trained.
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 – 17:00, 5 days a week.
Type of Role: Permanent, full time.
