About
We want to empower people, who’ve lived happily for years without technology, to learn how to use their iPads and iPhones properly.
We all have friends and family who’ve temporarily had to self-isolate, so we’ve created a short self-help video for the Silver Surfers. GET CONNECTED is for anyone with an iPhone/iPad who’d like to understand how to access a wide variety of entertainment/communication options.
Help
Each Silver Surfer needs a Tech Buddy for when they get stuck!
The Tech Buddy will send a link to their Silver Surfer, which they can click on in order to download our GET CONNECTED video. We suggest the Tech Buddy telephones their Silver Surfer in the first instance on their landline to let them know what they need to do and perhaps to stay on the phone until they’ve got the video running.

Finally
Tony Adams MBE:
"Please look after your mental health in this difficult situation. Reach out to loved ones: it is really important to keep connected."
Clare Stafford: CEO Charlie Waller Memorial Trust
“Mental health and wellbeing is more important than ever during this crisis. At the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust we know that social connection is vital in keeping up your spirits. For older people, a lesson in how to navigate technology can make all the difference between feeling isolated and low and feeling connected and well supported."
Mark Pougatch:
"It’s incredibly important at this time when so many are in self-isolation that people are able to communicate with their loved ones and friends - and enjoy television, films, books and podcasts. We just want to help people to get connected.”
